Your care

What to expect

Every course of treatment follows the same clear process.

  1. Examination

A full assessment of your teeth and gums, with X-rays where needed.

  2. Your options

Treatment options, benefits, risks, alternatives and costs are explained.

  3. Treatment

Carried out once you have had time to consider and agree your plan.

  4. Review

Follow-up and ongoing care to monitor your oral health.

Suitability, benefits, risks, alternatives and costs are discussed at consultation.

Digital impressions

Intraoral scanning

For many crowns, bridges, veneers and dentures, Dr Newton uses an intraoral optical scanner in place of conventional impression material.

Suitability is assessed on an individual basis.

  1. Digital scan

An intraoral scanner records your teeth in place of impression material.

  2. Sent to the laboratory

The scan is sent digitally to the dental laboratory.

  3. Restoration made

The laboratory makes the crown, bridge, veneer or denture from the scan.
