There are 3 standard charge bands for NHS treatment.
Band 1 = £22.70
This covers check ups, advice, x-rays (if needed), application of fluoride varnish and minimal scaling (if needed)
Band 2 = £62.10
This covers everything in band 1 plus extractions, fillings, root canal treatment, periodontal treatment (surgical and non surgical) and additions/relining of dentures.
Band 3 = £269.30
This covers everything listed in bands 1 & 2 and also includes crowns and dentures.
Prices are valid from 1st April 2019 – 31st March 2020
If you claim certain types of benefits, you may be entitled to free NHS Dental treatment.
You are entitled to free NHS dental treatment if….
A.)-You are under 18 years of age.
-You are 18 years of age AND in full time education.
-You are pregnant.
-You have had a baby in the last 12 months.
B.) You or your partner receive…
-Income-based job seekers allowance.
-Income-related employment and support allowance.
-Pension credit guarantee credit.
C.) You are named on one of the following certificates…
-NHS tax credit exemption certificate (card)
THESE ARE THE ONLY BENEFITS THAT ENTITLE YOU TO FREE NHS DENTAL SERVICES.
PROOF OF EXEMPTION IS REQUIRED (NHS Maternity exemption card, NHS tax credit card, letter showing your entitlement)
